Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing software developer currently supplying world wide blue chip organisations with a unique software solution. You would be joining a team of highly professional  engineers within an organisation that recognises and rewards talent.

We are looking for experience of working on Internet video delivery techniques. You will be able to demonstrate proficiency with Linux/Unix, PHP scripting, web technologies (HTML,
Javascript, jQuery, CSS, JSON, Ajax), knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, L4 - L7 protocols, media
technologies (audio/video codecs, delivery protocols) and associated tools (ffmpeg).

Working as part of a team, this role you will be conducting research into new video delivery technologies
on a large-scale application in use daily by major global media companies, as part of the team you will be designing, implementing, testing and proving new technologies.

Ideally you will have 

• Familiarity with dynamic languages, especially PHP.
• Knowledge of MVC pattern based development, and familiarity with Zend Framework in
• Strong scripting skills.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and the ability to operate packet analysis tools (eg.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with database concepts.
