GSA Techsource is recruiting a Help Desk Specialist for a large trading company who will provide technical support to users and clients, solving basic and complex technical issues with efficiency. This role is placed within the IT department and is a highly operational role, involved with network hardware and software. The primary goal of this role is to make sure that all processes and standards are maintained at the highest level possible.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Provide a concise yet informative process to employees who are having technical issues.
- Install software and computer peripherals when required.
- Record events and problems until they are resolved.
- Support various products including but not limited to general computer equipment, mobile phones, Apple devices etc. Experience with these beforehand is desirable.
- Knowledge of Firewalls, VMWare, switches, routers, etc.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy computing equipment.
- Strong communicator who can form positive relationships with colleagues.
