Availability, Capacity & Continuity Manager (INSIDE IR35)

Our client is seeking an Availability, Capacity and Continuity Manager who can continually drive forward and be optimising the Availability, Capacity and Continuity Management processes. The role holder will ensure that adequate capacity exists within the IT estate to deliver the levels of Availability agreed with the business in a cost-effective and timely manner, forecasts future capacity requirements and focusses on protecting the clients IT estate, managing the associated operational and financial risks and mitigating any loss or damage of reputation, market share and stock value in the event of a disaster.

Skills and Experience

The post holder should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Service Management environment, specifically with Availability, Capacity and Continuity management.

Skills

• Experience of developing and implementing Availability, Capacity and Continuity Management processes and procedures, monitoring effectiveness and driving process improvement
• In-depth experience of all aspects of IT services delivery
• Experience of delivery in a complex multi-vendor supply chain with a mix of internally and externally sourced service provision.
• Management experience of working in a major business service organisation in the public sector;
• Experience of managing teams, both directly and virtually, in a matrix structure environment;
• Experience with Project Management in an Agile environment would be advantageous
• A wide understanding of operational requirements e.g. business continuity, seasonal periods and scheduling
• Lean Six Sigma methodology experience
• ITIL expert v3

Presence at the Bristol HQ, with regular UK travel being required to locations across the UK (notably Nottingham, Swansea, Leeds and Newcastle) and London to meet external stakeholder and suppliers, this may require overnight stays.
