Job Description

Desktop Analyst , 3rd Line, SCCM, AD, EPO, Windows, VMware View, Citrix
As a key part of the role within the Desktop team, the analyst will be working closely with the Infrastructure Architects as a subject matter expert (SME) in any or all of the technologies described above to deliver products as part of project teams.   

The successful candidate will have the following:  

Microsoft certification in Windows
Sound evidence of working experience in a similar 3rd line role
Ability to work with other teams to agree the best strategy for desktop Hardware (PC's, and laptops)
Group Policy control for desktops
McAfee EPO (E-Policy Orchestrator)
The ability to use SCCM to deploy applications and patches to the desktop fleet and the on-going management of patch and application rollout strategy
Operation and administration of SCCM
Day to day monitoring of capacity and availability of all desktop PC's
Creation and provision of capacity and availability reports as required
Working with other teams, agree and design the standard company desktop build, management of images and version control, including virtual environments such as VMWare View and Citrix (VDI)
The ability to test all desktop releases prior to release to assure quality of the end product and minimise disruption to end users
Knowledge of Active Directory including GPO administration and creation
Understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop and it's requirements
Working with the Testing team to test and sign off all desktop builds and application installations prior to release to production
Strong working knowledge of Windows 8.1
