Right to Work checks remain digital (for now!)
The Home Office has listened to feedback from the recruitment community and has delayed the return to in-person right to work checks that were in place before the pandemic, extending the digital right to work checks until April 2022.
Over the last 18 months, the digital checks have worked, whilst reducing travel requirements, reducing covid risks, and moving checks into the digital age.
To have even considered reverting back to face to face checks seemed backwards, so for them to delay it is a great step forward. Let’s hope that by April 2022 they will have a permanent digital solution fit for the 21st century!
