The West Midlands is now the nation’s only exporter with a trade surplus with China. With a range of major developments and infrastructure projects on their way over the next couple of years, such as the New Street station redevelopment, Midland Metro light railway, HS2, more than one million square feet of new offices and a £1 billion investment in the City Centre Enterprise Zone, the Midlands is set to grow faster than any other region outside of London.
