Byte Night - GSA is sleeping on the street to support Action for Children!
Five intrepid GSA employees are braving the October cold (it’s bound to very cold!) by taking part in Byte Night, the annual sleep-out aiming to raise money for Action for Children. Each year thousands of individuals and teams from the technology and business sectors give up their beds for one night to help change young people's lives, and to raise funds and awareness of youth homelessness, and to tackle the root cause. It all began 16 years ago when 30 individuals from the IT industry slept out and raised £35,000. Since then Byte Night has grown to over 1400 sleepers and we are now the biggest charity sleep-out in the UK, raising over £1 million in 2013. On Friday 3 October 2014, Byte Night will be in 8 locations with sleeper teams from companies across the UK. You'll find us sleeping (or more likely just freezing on the pavement, and not actually sleeping too well) in Birmingham city centre.
We would like to raise at least £4,000 – please help us by donating at https://www.justgiving.com/teams/gsatechsource - you can even choose which Sleeper you’d like to sponsor.
