Job Description
Contract Length: 3 Months
Security Clearance Level Required: BPSS with Basic Disclosure (issued by Disclosure & Barring Service or Disclosure Scotland)
This requirement has been deemed OUT of Scope by the Contracting Body.
This role is to embed the tooling across the Senior Leadership Team and beyond; creating project spaces for all areas of the business to plan, deliver against milestones and learn lessons
Experience
• Excellent understanding of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, screens schemes, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of SDLC and experience working with Agile teams
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across the organisation
• Ability to analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
• Excellent problem solving and process implementation skills
• 3+ years’ experience in JIRA & Confluence administration involving creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports configurations
Key tasks and deliverables
• Serve as a JIRA / Confluence administrator, subject matter expert and evangelist
• Align project spaces with the shared DWP instance but design and maintain custom projects for BPDTS, workflows, schemes, screens and field configurations
• Manage user permissions and project roles for JIRA and Confluence
• Work directly with cross-functional agile teams to understand their specific JIRA needs and provide guidance and solutions • Create and manage custom JQL filters and dashboards as needed
• Work with JIRA Admin peers in DWP to understand procedures and best practices
• Troubleshoot, identify and resolve JIRA issues reported by end-users
• Recommend, test, install, and configure JIRA plugins and add-ons as needed
• Provide training and coaching to the Senior Leadership team to build capability
• Audit, improve and automate processes and workflows as needed
• Develop guides and documentation for JIRA features and best practices
• Provide teams and stakeholders with documented guidance
