This role comprises two primary aims:
First, it is to ensure that the Child Abuse Image Database (CAID) project delivers the capabilities to the business for both the existing live service and delivering new functionality for video and facial recognition plus future innovations developed.
Second, it is to manage the service design and transition team with the transition of the system from the CAID project team into the Home Office Live Services environment, such that it is fully supported and maintained as a ‘business as usual’ system. As part of the transition, the CAID Service Delivery Manager must ensure that the benefits and capabilities of the CAID continue to meet the evolving business needs of police users. The CAID Service Delivery Manager will also seek to promote, enhance and maintain the success and integrity of the CAID system whilst undertaking the transition.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Child Abuse Investigation technologies
Application Support Management
Significant experience of working in a secure environment, handling highly sensitive information
Experience with engaging at a senior level with police forces and other law enforcement agencies
ITIL Service Management qualification
Experience of working with Project VIC partners and technology deployments
