Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business who are looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their growing IT Support team. They are looking for someone to join the team to support them in providing essential support to users within the Stoke Office. No two days are the same and you won't be afraid of getting your hands dirty, from desk moves to server failures your day to day tasks are always changing. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with an understanding of I.T through education or work experience to join a growing fast paced team. With a training budget available to support your development and plans to cross-train individuals within the team, this opportunity suits both someone taking their first step into I.T or someone who is looking to progress within the sector.

Essential Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in IT Support/helpdesk service OR an IT Qualification ie GSCE or A-Level
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Customer understanding
  • Analysis and judgement
Desirable Experience:
  • Knowledge about ITIL and their defined procedures
  • Knowledge of current Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of hardware (Laptops, PC's, Mobiles) with an understanding of servers
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Good working knowledge of LAN / WAN principals and TCP/ IP protocols
